Nagant M1895 revolver with M1905 stock

Designed by Emile and Léon Nagant in 1886, adopted by the Russian military c.1895 and produced by the Tula arsenal c.1898-onward when they bought the manufacturing rights.
7,62x38mmR seven-round cylinder, double action, side loading gate with manual ejector rod, removable stock/boarding axe.
Most if not all navies of the turn of the century had racks upon racks of revolvers, pikes and axes on-board their ships, it makes sense someone would try and combine them in some way.
In this case the Nagant revolver was combined with the Russian military hatchet that was used almost unchanged from the Napoleonic wars to the fall of the USSR, to form a a weapon of questionable usefulness.

Belgian 8mm Lefaucheux-type double action revolver

Built with the typical layout of Franco-Belgian revolvers in the third quarter of the 19th century, this gun would have been popular with gentlemen looking for a self-defense weapon - note the folding trigger making it relatively snag-proof.
I have seen some of these mislabeled as pinfire revolvers quite often. The easy way to tell that it is not is to look at the hammer ; here you can see it is striking a small point at the back of the cartridge, which would make it either a rimfire or centerfire weapon, while a pinfire one would have the hammer wrap around the back top of the cylinder to snap on a protruding pin from the cartridge chambered.

Collier patent Third Pattern transitional percussion revolver

Manufactured by John Evans & Son in London c.1819~24, based on Elisha Haydon Collier’s 1818 patent for a flintlock revolver.
.45 caliber, manually indexed five shot cylinder, cap and ball.
This piece is of obvious interest as, unlike regular Collier firearm, it is a percussion design and was supposedly the gun that inspired Samuel Colt to manufacture his own revolving firearms a few years later.

Colt 1851 Navy with Richards-Mason Cartridge Conversion

This beautiful revolver, numbered ‘7′, is one of the very few to have been retooled into a .38 Short Colt handgun in the 1870′s, when Smith and Wesson lost exclusive rights to bored-through cylinder. Mason had patented - in addition to this conversion - swing-out revolvers and star-shaped cartridge ejectors five years earlier.
This interesting piece was fitted with an entirely new barrel for its conversion, as shown by the lack of slot to dovetail a loading lever catch in. As a still experimental gun, it lacks an ejector rod.

Italian pepperbox pistol

Snap matchlock firing mechanism, triple barrel cluster each with its own covered firing pan and hooded rear sights.
A very rare matchlock firearm from around 1530. Matchlock pistols were extremely rare in Europe, with most hand-held cavalry weapons being wheellocks, which left what little of them were made as expensive pieces of technology like this handgun here.

Colt 1848 Dragoon third Model percussion army revolver

Manufactured in New York City, USA for the US Army c.1851-1860, serial number 17173.
.44 cap and ball, matching removable stock, six shots cylinder, interesting folding leaf rear sights specific to the third model Dragoon.
This gun would have been issued with its stock to US cavalrymen as a ‘pistol carbine’ to provide a higher firepower than a single-shot carbine could produce.
Damn these Colt revolver stocks, they’re so curvaceous.

Landstad Model N°1 automatic revolver

Designed in1899 by Halvard Landstad in Oslo, patented the following year. Only one gun made.
7,5mm Nagant, 6 rounds removable box magazine/left grip panel and a flat cylinder with two chambers.
A pull of the trigger would first cock the hammer and cycle the cylinder - much like a double action revolver - and then release the hammer, firing the cartridge. The energy from the recoil would be harnessed to push back the slide, ejecting the spent round and loading another one in the bottom chamber of the cylinder. And somehow that would compete with a regular semi-automatic pistol.
… I mean visually it does and win, but you know.

.45ACP six-round cylinder reloaded with 3-round half-moon clips, double action, shortened rounded grip, 2″ snubnose barrel, spurless hammer, half triggerguard.
A pocket pistol after Fitzgerald’s heart, the “Fitz Special” was also a favourite of Kill or Get Killed author Rex Applegate.
